In the third quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing landscape in Switzerland saw varied performance across the top five apps, with insights provided by Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride had a fluctuating download trend, starting with 10.7K in early July and peaking at 12.9K mid-month. However, downloads decreased to 8.9K by the end of September. Weekly active users also showed variability, beginning at 170K and dipping to 117K in early September before recovering to 149K by the quarter's end.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a gradual decline in downloads, from 8.7K in early July to 5.9K by late September. Active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from 60K to 44K over the quarter.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery saw downloads start at 2.7K, with a notable drop to 1.5K by early September, before a slight recovery to 2.3K. Active users remained relatively stable, maintaining around 140K throughout the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver showed consistent download numbers, staying around 1K weekly, with active users holding steady between 15K and 16K.

Freenow by Lyft - taxi & more had a decrease in downloads from 1.1K to 0.6K mid-quarter, recovering to 1.1K by the end. Active users increased slightly from 3.7K to 4K.
